Chrysler Town and Country
This is the most luxurious among the Chrysler stable of front wheel drive minivans, and it's marketed toward those looking for a mix of luxury and practicality. Since it was introduced in 1990, the Town and Country has shared its components with the Grand Caravan, and the same applies for this year. The Town and Country offers stow-n-go seating, and it was the first minivan to come with driver's side sliding doors. In other areas, however, the Town and Country is a few steps behind the competition.
The van was thoroughly revamped for 2011. The exterior had a more refined look, but the most retooling was done to the interior. The passenger area was upgraded with a new design and better materials, along with redesigned stow-n-go seating. Under the hood, the 3.6L V6 and retuned suspension make driving the Town and Country much more enjoyable.
The Town and Country comes in Touring, Touring L and Limited trim levels. Even the basic model is well-appointed, featuring automatic windshield wipers and headlights, parking sensors, power seats and pedals, touch screen audio system and stow-n-go seating. The upper trim levels can be outfitted to rival any luxury vehicle, with heated seats and steering wheels and upgraded xenon headlights. Other features like window shades, power folding third-row seats and a dual-screen entertainment system add more appeal to the Town and Country.
